Motivation - Focus

As an engineer, each second counts. 

Our focus is everything. We should remove any impediment towards full concentration. 

It starts with our equipment. we should have the best equipment. We do not want to be disturb by a wrong monitor, wrong mouse, wrong keyboard ... these problems may be costly to our focus and our focus is our value.

So far find below great equipments that have helped me to reach fantastic performances recently. I will continue to improve my work environment as it is essential to success and will keep you inform

Monitors

I have 2 monitors Philips 27" UltraClear 4K UHD Monitor with USB-C Docking 3840x2160 

I like the following items

  • LowBlue Mode for easy on-the-eyes productivity

These screens are probably great for designers due to the high resolution provided. As a developer I am not sure such definition is necessary. However I enjoy 




Fan

Although big it is a quietest fan that I have found  Vornado 5303DC Energy Smart Small Air Circulator Fan with Variable Speed Control

It comes with a remote but I do not use it. The quietness when set to speed 1 is fabulous compare to my previous fans

How to fix pgDump dbeaver ?

  DBeaver Configuration : Postgres and MacOs 1 . Install postgres 2. Find path to pg_dump /Applications/Postgres.app/Contents/Versions/latest/bin 3. configure client (Dbeaver) to add hidden files -> command + shift + G paste  /Applications/Postgres.app/Contents/Versions/latest/bin and select the folder 4. Voila !
